Effective Date: [June 30, 2026]
Last Updated: [June 30, 2026]
This Shipping Policy applies to all purchases made through Continuum: Artist Relief for Iran, an initiative operated by Duran Art Projects Inc. (‘DAP’, ‘we’, ‘our’, or ‘us’). By purchasing an artwork through this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this Shipping Policy together with our Terms & Conditions.
1. Overview
Continuum: Artist Relief for Iran brings together artworks by artists located both within Iran and internationally. Shipping arrangements vary depending on the location of each artwork and the logistical requirements associated with its transportation. DAP is committed to providing a transparent, professional, and carefully coordinated shipping experience for every collector.
2. Artwork Preparation
Each artwork is professionally prepared for international transport using conservation-minded packing methods. Artworks are inspected before dispatch and packaged using materials appropriate to their medium, size, and destination.
3. Works Originating from Iran
To ensure the safest possible international transportation, all two-dimensional artworks originating from Iran are shipped unframed and rolled in professional archival shipping tubes. Paintings on canvas are carefully removed from their stretcher bars by experienced professionals before shipment. Collectors should arrange for professional re-stretching (where applicable) and framing after delivery. Unless otherwise indicated, original framing is not included.
4. Artworks Located Outside Iran
Some artworks are already held by partner galleries or collections outside Iran and are available for immediate shipment. The artwork page will indicate Immediate Shipping Available and the Country of Dispatch where applicable.
5. Estimated Delivery Times
For artworks shipped from Iran, the estimated delivery timeframe is 3–6 months. This represents the maximum anticipated timeframe under normal circumstances. Many works may arrive sooner, but delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
6. Shipping Coordination
Once an artwork is ready for dispatch, DAP will contact the purchaser regarding shipping methods, shipping costs, insurance (where available), estimated transit time, and delivery arrangements. No artwork will be dispatched until shipping arrangements have been confirmed.
7. Shipping Costs
Artwork prices do not include shipping. Shipping costs vary based on destination, dimensions, weight, courier availability, shipping route, and insurance requirements. Shipping charges must be paid before dispatch.
8. Customs, Duties & Taxes
Purchasers are responsible for all customs duties, VAT, brokerage fees, inspection fees, import taxes, or other governmental charges imposed by the destination country.
9. Shipping Routes
Shipments may be coordinated through logistics partners operating across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. DAP reserves the right to determine the most appropriate shipping route and logistics provider for each shipment.
10. Shipping Carriers
DAP reserves the right to select the shipping carrier and shipping method most appropriate for each artwork.
11. Insurance
Insurance options will be offered where available. If insurance is declined or unavailable, DAP is not responsible for loss or damage after the shipment has been transferred to the carrier except where required by applicable law.
12. Tracking
Tracking information will be provided whenever available. Multi-stage shipments may experience limited tracking updates.
13. Delivery
Some shipments may require an adult signature. Delivery schedules are managed by carriers and customs authorities after dispatch.
14. Delays Beyond Our Control
Delivery may be affected by customs inspections, weather, transportation disruptions, political developments, sanctions, export controls, labour disputes, pandemics, natural disasters, force majeure events, and other circumstances beyond DAP's reasonable control.
15. Compliance with International Laws
DAP reserves the right to modify shipping methods, routes, logistics providers, or timelines where necessary to comply with applicable laws, sanctions, customs requirements, export regulations, or other legal obligations.
16. Purchaser Responsibilities
Purchasers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information, responding promptly to shipping communications, paying shipping costs and applicable duties, arranging professional re-stretching where applicable, and ensuring delivery can be accepted.
17. Address Changes
Address changes should be communicated before dispatch. Additional costs arising from changes after dispatch are the purchaser's responsibility.
18. Inspection Upon Delivery
Purchasers should inspect the shipment immediately and report any visible damage or discrepancies within 48 hours, including photographs of the packaging, artwork, and damage.
19. Lost or Damaged Shipments
DAP will assist purchasers in pursuing carrier or insurance claims where applicable but cannot guarantee the outcome of such claims.
20. Storage of Purchased Artwork
If shipping cannot proceed because of purchaser delay or inaction, DAP may securely store the artwork and recover reasonable storage or handling costs after prior notice.
21. Refused, Returned or Unclaimed Shipments
If delivery is refused, unclaimed, or cannot be completed due to incorrect information or unpaid customs charges, all resulting return, storage, handling, customs, and re-shipping costs are the purchaser's responsibility.
22. Limitation of Shipping Responsibility
DAP exercises reasonable care in coordinating shipment but is not liable for delays, losses, damages, or additional costs caused by third-party carriers, customs authorities, governmental agencies, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, except where prohibited by applicable law.
23. Policy Amendments
DAP reserves the right to amend this Shipping Policy at any time. Changes will be posted with an updated Last Updated date and will not affect completed purchases unless required by applicable law.
