Sajjad Salmanroghani (b. 1987) was born in Yazd, Iran, and has been active as an artist in Tehran since 2011. Working across painting and sculpture, his practice explores human emotions and states of being through the act of image-making. While his paintings emerge from an ongoing engagement with subjects in his immediate surroundings, his sculptures often turn toward absent or imagined subjects. Moving between observation and imagination, Salmanroghani approaches art as a means of reflecting on human experience and exploring the relationship between the external world and the inner landscapes of the imagination.
