Artist Biography

Roya Mazrooei was born in 1988 in Gorgan, Iran. She studied Painting at art high school and continued the same field for her B.A. and M.A. at the University of Art, Tehran, under the supervision of experienced professors.
Her first solo series was exhibited at Vista Gallery in Tehran under the title “Sepinood” in 2022 (1401 in the Persian calendar). In this series, Roya Mazrooei revisits Nezami’s story of “Khosrow and Shirin” and visually represents the concepts of love, suspense, and loss. In her next series, which is a continuation of the previous one, she explores how Nezami Ganjavi’s narrative of “Khosrow and Shirin” can be reinterpreted in contemporary painting, and she seeks—through analyzing the process of creating a body of visual works—to discover how the concepts of love, suspense, and waiting can be translated from a literary text into a visual language.She has participated in more than 30 exhibitions and art events inside and outside Iran.

ARTWORK PREPARATION

Every artwork is shipped according to its location.

For the safety of the artwork and to facilitate international transportation, works located in Iran are professionally rolled and packed in archival shipping tubes. Paintings on canvas are carefully removed from their stretcher bars prior to shipment and should be professionally re-stretched and framed upon arrival.

DELIVERY TIMELINE

Our current estimated delivery time for works shipped from Iran is 3–6 months, although many orders may arrive sooner as shipping arrangements become available.

Some artworks are already held by our partner galleries outside Iran and are available for immediate shipment. Where applicable, the artwork page will indicate Immediate Shipping Available along with the Country of Dispatch.
