Marjan Ghorbani (b. 1990) is a Tehran-based visual artist whose practice centers on drawing and mixed media. Her work explores memory, absence, forgetting, and the ways in which individual and collective narratives are formed.
Drawing on imagery, archival materials, repetitive structures, and elements derived from history and visual culture, she creates spaces that oscillate between presence and absence, revelation and erasure. Her research investigates how memory and identity are constructed, disrupted, and reinterpreted within social and historical frameworks.
For Ghorbani, art is a space for encounter, reflection, and critical reconsideration of the relationship between personal experience and collective history.
