Ardeshir Mirmongereh (b. 1973, Andimeshk, Iran) is a multidisciplinary artist, art director, educator, and writer. He studied Graphic Design at the University of Art and Illustration, University of Tehran. His practice spans photography, sculpture, traditional arts, graphic design, painting, and, most notably, environmental and urban art. He has contributed critical writings to numerous visual arts publications and has served as art director, project manager, and expert advisor for institutions including the Research Institute of Iran’s Cultural Heritage Organization, the Urban Arts Office of the Tehran Beautification Organization, and the Visual Arts Department of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. He has also taught visual arts at several leading Iranian universities for over a decade. His work centers on interdisciplinary and site-specific projects, with notable environmental pieces along the Tochal Mountain trail, in Nesoumeh Forest of Qaemshahr, Laleh Park, and Vali-e-Asr Square in Tehran, as well as installations and performances at the Iranian Artists Forum. Resisting conventional definitions of environmental art, his practice often emerges as raw experiments and fragmented narratives that retain a subtle continuity, rooted in shared concerns, collaborative thinking, socially conscious courage, and a sustained dialogue between artist and audience.
